ESTABLISHED BUSINESS MENTORS!
WHAT is the event all about?
The Southern Dallas “Coaching Connection” event
is an intensive 1-Day workshop designed to link
small Southern Dallas businesses with growth
potential, to experienced businesses and service
providers who will volunteer their time and
share their knowledge in order to help these
businesses grow.
The event will focus
on matching and connecting:
• New Businesses seeking coaching and services
from established businesses
• Established businesses willing to offer pro-bono
coaching and services
HOW does it work?
Small business participants seeking coaching,
will be provided space to display collateral
materials and meet one-on-one with established
small business owners who will act as coaches.
“Businesses” and “Coaches” may then agree to
an initial collaborative meeting for the coach
to provide pro-bono services and coaching.
ELIGIBILITY
The “Business” participants must be emerging
Southern Dallas or minority owned businesses
with potential for growth (at least 1 year in
business and projected revenues in 2011 of $100,000
or more). The “Coaches” must be experienced
entrepreneurs or business services providers
like CPA’s, marketing consultants, lawyers,
CFO’s, etc.
HOW TO REGISTER
Interested contestants can find guidelines for
entry online below. Registration
for the competition is $25.00 per business.
Business plan along with check or money order
must be received by September 30, 2009.
The Coaching Connection event is sponsored by
Momentum Texas, Inc. in collaboration with the
Comerica Bank and the Texas Workforce Commission.
The Dallas Small Business Development Council
(SBDC) will provide counseling to registered
participants at no charge. By appointment only.
