Promoting Entrepreneurship
Most cities and/or economic development corporation have sophisticated programs for attracting new businesses and retaining and expanding existing businesses. The missing link is systematic development of local entrepreneurs. The National Commission on Entrepreneurs has concluded that if local officials want to get the most “bang for the buck” they should focus on promoting entrepreneurship.
